Since summer has just begun, various people are looking for fun stuff to do around the great city of Houston, so I thought I would talk to you guys about some cool places to visit over the blazing hot summer here!

image025 A lot of people have heard of the amazing Kemah Boardwalk, does it really live up to its name? The Kemah Boardwalk is located 20 miles away from Houston and is a huge tourist spot, they have various amusement rides for the kids and teens and a lot of nice dining areas for adults. They also put on firework shows every Friday! It should be a place on your Summer Bucket List for sure.

Now after you’ve stopped by Kemah Boardwalk, how’s a peak into its nearby neighbor Space Center Houston? 07_space-center-houstonIt offers various attractions that are fun for the entire family (especially you science nerds out there.) You to see various space artifacts and exhibits, and even tour the NASA Johnson Space Center. Houston, we don’t have a problem.

If these aren’t for you, maybe you’d like to try Schlitterbahn Waterpark, in the blazing Texas heat there are just some days when you want to have some fun in the water with your friends or your family. They feature various water slide attractions if you want to get your adrenaline pumping, if you just want to relax in the water with an ice cold drink head out to their Wasserfest Heated Pool & Swim-Up Bar. There’s something for everyone there in this heat.34672-Galveston-Schlitterbahn-Waterpark

I think you can settle with these for now, to have a great June for sure. If you are still not satisfied, all of the local museums offer free admission every Thursday.

There are many varieties in our museums here in Houston, so I believe even you can find something fun to fit your interest instead of being cooped up in your room all day!
